Club Minutes June 9, 2014

Meeting called to order by Vice President David Mize

David invited members present to introduce themselves and give their call sign.


Roll Call of Officers:

President: Herb Champion, KG4BJH not in attendance

Vice President: David Mize, KK4HQT in attendance

Secretary / Treasurer, Michael Krueger, KI40XX in attendance

Repeater Trustee: David Drummond, W4MD in attendance


Membership:             Signed in on sign-in sheet.


Old Business: Field Day up-date, By Todd Kirby, KK4CHT

Todd passed out a hand out sheet (attached) that listed current assignments and items needed for Field Day.

Also we will participate as a 2-A station and our call sign will be W4XI. We will operate from 1:00pm Saturday June 28th until 1:00pm Sunday June 29th.

Everett Sharp, N8CNP will provide an Icom 718 for use at one of the stations.

Jeff Maxwell, KK4SXA will try and get some gasoline donated for the generators.

Mike Krueger KI4OXX will provide a Pop-up for use.

Todd will arrange to have food (Bar B Q from BAMA Bar B Q) for the dinner meal delivered and buy some bottled water.

We will meet Friday at 6:00pm on site (in the field across the Emergency Room Entrance parking lot at Northport DCH)  to check out the grounds and Saturday at 8:00am at Chick-Fil-A Northport for a biscuit, then to the site for set-up.

Mike will have cash available for reimbursement of approved Field Day expenses.


New Business:

David Mize mentioned that Officers for 2015 term will be needed and also that do to his work schedule he would not be able to continue on as Hamsay Editor and asked for a volunteer to step forward to replace him.

            Everett Sharp asked if there was a Membership Guide available for distribution.

            After some discussion it was decided to provide this information on our web site.

Club Bank Account is reconciled

Membership Status: 36 Regular & 9 Family for a total of 45 Members.


Repeater Trustee / Net Manager: by David Drummond, W4MD

David reported the 146.820 repeater was up and running and he also asked for volunteers to call the Sunday WAEN.
